This thread has been very helpful to me. Based on what I have read here and on other sites, the Wiim mini looks like a good streamer for my needs. However i am thinking it may be worth waiting for the Wiim Pro model. Any thought on this?
Linkplay have suggested Q4 22, so it might be out in October. Given it uses the same code base as the Mini, it should come with all the features the Mini has, as well as Chromecast, coax, Ethernet etc. Guses it depends whether you need the additional features and are happy to pay 50% or more extra - plus there’s no guarantee that release date won’t slip given the global shortage of chips. Not an easy decision…

Maybe a couple options apply? Like it has been said, the Pro is said to be out in Q4 but we wont really know until then or exact features of it and many manufactures have been heavily delayed shipping new models due to part shortages, this many not apply to the Pro but a long wait could possibly happen.
Also, if you have a second system that could use a inexpensive streamer, then I suggest getting the current Wiim now for your main system to get aquatinted with and in the mean time listen to music through it. And if you like it and the UI; and when the Pro starts shipping, you can move the the hockey puck to the second system and tie the two Wiim's together as many have done?

As the others have said the Wiim Pro isn't here yet and it does have its unknowns, That being said here's my 2 cents...
I would get the Wiim mini, get familiar with its features and how it works for you now, and see what they have in store for the Pro model. Although I am not the biggest proponent of the Mini here, I think it represents a tremendous value for what it is, and if you do go for the pro model, you can always shuffle it off to somewhere else, or sell it for a few bucks back...
Don't feel you can go wrong, but the real answer lies in what you are planning on streaming...

Qobuz is the only streaming service I am currently using. I might give Amazon a try at some point, but not sure that I will use any others in the future.
Based on what I have read about the additional features of the Pro, COAX and Ethernet connectivity are the only two I might use. Right now I would plan to use optical and WiFi Connectivity.

Got my WiiM. I was able to connect it to my wifi network and set it up in the Home app, but when I try to stream music from the app via spdif to my MOJO 2, I get no sound.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting? The cable appears to be connected properly, but when I try the test tone in the Home app, I get nothing.

Yeah, so it sucks that I can't do this from the desktop app. My workaround is to use the Microsoft Phone app (brilliant by the way) and just open the Amazon Android app on my PC through that.

"Mojo 2 will auto-select the correct input when music is played to the device. Mojo 2 will prioritise specific inputs if all four are connected simultaneously. USB has priority followed by coaxial and then optical. It is only possible to connect one USB at a time (Micro-USB takes priority over USB-C)."
So this is what the manual says. It's certainly not very clear, but I read this as I can have more than one input, and Mojo should automatically switch depending on which input it's receiving music from.
