Is there a portable device which can connect to my WiFi and stream Internet Radio?

I was considering a Roku Soundbridge since I'd like to be able to play iNet Radio without a PC being on all the time, but much prefer something portable.

I did find a Sansa Connect that will stream but only through Yahoo Launchcast

I prefer an 'open' device where I can get ShoutCast and others, including my favorites RadioParadise and BellyUp4Blues.

Does anyone know of such a device?

Maybe the Archos 605 can do it? What kind of streams are they?

Most of these are mp3, but some are also available in aac.

Thanks, I'll do a search for info on the Archos

I bet the Archos 605 can play them, then. If you can wait till the weekend, and give me links to the streams, I'll gladly test for you.

It might even be sooner.

That would be wonderful! I realy appreciate it.

Here are the links order'd by preference (sound quality/station choice) but if one works they all should (except maybe the aac stream).

Radio Paradise (website)
192kb/s mp3 stream (direct link)
128kb/s aac (direct link)
128kb/s mp3 stream (direct link)

Belly Up 4 Blues (website)
128kb/s mp3

You could go with the Nokia N810 that has realaudio streaming built in. I use it to listen to BBC radio all the time and with its external speakers, makes for an internet radio friendly device on my desktop.

No go, it doesn't realize it's a stram at all and therefore, won't even start playback. This is for the Archos 605 only, thoug, maybe the Cowoon Q5 will do better, not a clue.

OK, thanks for trying

I guess unless someone else pops in with an alternative I may have to take the other suggestions and look into PDA's and cell's.
