Hmm... I have a Chord Hugo TT2 and was thinking fo trying Roon and HDPlayer to upsample instead of buying an m-scaler. I've never gotten to test this stuff and don't know if I would be able to hear anything. Can you run EQs profiles in Roon and run the HDPlayer upsampeling?

You can run HQPlayer 30min for free after which you simply have to restart it. You can do all the testing you need.

If you use HQPlayer, always do all the processing in HQPlayer, including EQ. If Roon touches it, that basically throws most of the benefits of HQPlayer out of the window. Roon must transport the music to HQPlayer bit perfect.
