Why do CDs sound better than loss less audio files?

Personally, I think Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster are a lot more fun.

They have a more entertaining sense of humor. They're great to have around when throwing a party

I'm here to help people like myself who want to get good sound in the most efficient and inexpensive way possible.

I don't personally care if my getting good sound is in the most efficient and inexpensive way possible (though those are generally laudable goals).  God knows I've spent a lot through the years, simply because I can and my purchase motivations frequently extend beyond sound (but never ignoring sound).  The real disservice on this site isn't with respect to good sound (at all price points), but in not being able to call out bad sound and rip offs for what they are.  Watching head-fi and its moderators protect the guilty (or the "system") is a big reason I don't trust this site for very much, other than this sub-forum.

I wasted too much money on things that gave me no improvement over the years. I'd like to help others avoid that. Getting kick ass sound isn't expensive. It just takes the right info and having your priorities in order.
