This forum is bad... Came looking for Cheap/Good eabuds (didnt like like stock that came with my muvo) and ended up impulse buying some e2c from circuit city. Then came the lust for better desktop headphones, sold my senn hd212pros and brought their big brother, dt770 with a nice little govibev4 to go with.
Before head-fi:
mdrq55 - 30usd
Sen hd212pro - 50usd
Audigy2 - 50usd
happiness

Post head-fi(current, in order of purchase)
e2c--> 99usd
MisterX Cmoy - 70usd
BD dt770pro 250ohm - 170usd
govibe v4 - 130usd
x-fi music - 139usd
wanting more

for a total of 608 in 24 posts, so over 25 bucks per post.

So far I've spent $0, but that is going to change this week. I'm ordering my first headphones over $15 (I think that's the most I ever spent on headphones) I'm buying the Audio Technica ATH-FC7's. Over this year music has become so much more to me, and I want to hear my music better. These 'phones will set me back about 45 bucks, so I'm not going broke. (yet

Wow. Seems everyone spent a lot.
I haven't even spend any money on any cans over $60 yet... and $800...

1 x Samsung MT6 = $210
1 x Samsung T5V - $230 (back in the days)
Rest on portable cans. Currently, I only have $200. It means that I lost like $150 on breaking headphones and reselling headphones. :O

I know lots of people here lose money by selling their equpment to buy more equipment. Then later ending up selling the one they bought to buy better equipment. It's a cycle of death.

$77 + $50 - $50 = $77 so far. Looking to possibly send another $135 or so soon though if I can get a used pair I've had my eyes on.

Before coming to Head-Fi I wasnt really headphone challenged. I actually knew of Headroom and other fine headphone websites before coming here. Though this site has certainly opened me up to headphone amps, which I might buy in the future also.

D'oh, I blew it! Now I've spent twice as much and only made 300 more posts!

Since joining Head-Fi... Additions in black, items sold in red.

HD580/Oehlbach + HD650/Zu - HD580/Oehlbach + SR325i + HF-1 - SR325i + E4c
Net Headphone & Replacement Cable Total: $1000 or so

MINT + PPA v2 + M^3 - M^3 + Millett Hybrid - Cost of Millett Hybrid (Gift!)
Net DIY Amp Total: $500

5G iPod 60GB + Vaja Case + Denon DVM-4800 - Cost of DVM-4800 (Received in trade for DCM-560)
Net Source Total: $500

Total: around $2000

Thankfully a friend went nuts with DIY stuff, and I didn't have to buy any of the tools necessary to build amps. And I'm not adding in the power conditioner that's on the way. And that's not even considering what the Head-Fi music forum has done to me! I fear most of the damage to my wallet comes from the combination of that place and living upstairs from a record store!

The nice thing is that I'm very happy with my current setup, and am to a point where I'm concentrating on the music... buying it and listening to it, and my rig has settled in nicely.

And for the record, I HATE these posts!
