haha... well I do have a few grand saved up, BUT I'M SAVING THAT FOR TRIP TO A CERTAIN COUNTRY. I think you can guess which one. Allowance from parents = 0.
 
 

Yeah, how do you guys afford this stuff? It's insane! I just went to a meet on Saturday, and the Stax is definitely worth it IMHO, as it sounds pretty dang lifelike, but it is EXPENSIVE!!!

 
Hm.. I heard the 009, and for that price I'd definitely prefer speakers, or perhaps a pair of modded HD800's. Even the best electrostat imaging still isn't on par with the HD800's.

If that is your own opinion i cant tell you how to think, but really i think most would agree that the 009s are better than hd-800 moded or unmoded (at least thats what I and everyone else who has heard my system agrees, i have the 009 and 007mk2 and hd-800). Those that have heard speakers would say pretty much speakers are better than any headphone but of course they are more expencive than your average audiophile headphones.

umm part time jobs and saving some money from my allowance i guess. at least thats what i do to buy my audio rig,anime stuff (figures,cd,poster etc) and games. anime figures hurts my wallet the most.

Dang, I have yet to buy any otaku goods from Japan... Other than one cd...
I get all my money from random people asking me to do random jobs for them, and I don't have any expenses so I can hoard money in theory...

Audio is subjective... and I HATED the HE6s for some reason, I don't think it was the GSX, or OPPO player, as they had NO texture in them AT ALL...

And make sure it stays that way. Otaku goods (figurines, doujin music/games/manga/light novels, cd's, dvd's, posters) can add up to the thousands easily once you get addicted. better to spend that money on hookers and crack

No, I really want to! I just can't justify the ridiculous prices. I mean, one good quality figurine could be more than my Mad Dogs in theory. >_<
