i wonder if i missed any top tier iems, that can rumble. the ones i have heard so far are:

ie8
ex1000
aurisonics asg 1.2
sm3

all the others u know like se535, w4 etc do not rumble at all. which can you throw in the bunch? please list only universals. customs are a different thing.

I personally think Radius TWF11 has less bass rumble than the Aurisonics 1.2 though it was about on par with the SM3v1.
The Radius is also not technically top tier IMO, it slots below the SM3 and ASG. Atrio MG7 has nice rumble but too bad it isn't top tier..

maybe i should be more precise:

i mean rumble without eq or amp with bass boost. it does not need to be the most rumble, just a tad more than lets say tf10 or gr07.

FX700 all the way. If you want some serious bass rumble and with quality and quantity the FX700 has it in spades. The EX1000 has quality but lacks quantity to consider them for bass-head enjoyment. IE80s is also excellent and a better all-arounder than the FX700. Plus you can upgrade the cable to silver cable and further improve the sound while on the JVCs you are stuck with the stock cable. I'd say the IE80 would have slightly less quantity on its lowest setting so that may be more in line with what you are looking for. Plus its sound-stage is larger than FX700. GR07 and TF10 sound stages are small in comparison to both the IE80 and FX700.

YEP, spades for sure... reaaaaaaly wish I didn't lose my pair, fx700 is the end of my search for the time being... I also agree on the quality of bass on the ex1000, which is very very good- but in comparison to the jvc's I find the overall sound of the ex1000's to be lacking a certain 'body' at times...

Well, I wouldn't call it rumble, because that word implies an ill-defined low end that isn't really deep and is big and muddy, but Future Sonics MG6Pro have incredible bass. I don't think you can do better. The rest of the frequency spectrum isn't bad, either.
