I wonder what is your favourite spirit?
There are some formidable candidates:
Bourbon, Brandy, Gin, Rum, ... among others.

Note that the last four options are Whiskey/whisky options.

The poll is confidential so that your wife, fiance, girlfriend etc will not know that you drink any spirit.
Otherwise she might tell you the following:

Remark
I only singled out the following very important styles/types of whiskies:
7. Bourbon (straight or blended)
8. Irish Whiskey (any type)
9. Scotch (single malt, blended, ...),
10. Other Whiskies: Rye, Corn, American and Canadian blended, ...
Note the three dots "..." at the end of option no. 10.
They stand for ANY whiskes NOT mentioned above, e.g. Japanese whiskies, and so on.

In other words, if your favourite spirit is whiskey/whisky and is NOT
Bourbon, Irish Whiskey nor Scotch click on option No. 10 (Other Whiskies)

By the way, Aquavit is very popular in Scandinavia.

See you on your Favourite Spirit

I have two favorites.

Tequila for sipping. I prefer El Tesoro Silver and Anejo. I've also had some amazing Mezcals, but they always seem to be labels I've never heard of, from some tiny town in Mexico, and then I can never seem to find them a second time. I secretly believe that the Mexicans keep most of the really good stuff for themselves. Who can blame them, especially since most Americans seem content with artificially colored rotgut like Quervo Gold.

Vodka when I'm, um, not sipping. My favorite is Luksusowa, which is a Polish potato vodka. Very smooth and clean tasting with little or none of the medicinal taste you find in cheap, mass produced vodkas. And it is relatively inexpensive at under $20 for a fifth.

I never mix Luksovsova; I always have it well chilled and straight up. When I want mixed drinks, I go with Absolut or any of the decent quality citrus flavored vodkas, usually mixed with O.J.

Jack Daniel's is Tennessee whiskey and therefore belongs to option no. 10.

I was a little confused, so guys you that have more knowledge of that field can educate me, many guys consider the JD Whiskey as Bourbon, the only thing I can tell you is that I love it....

Of course if getting fancy, Habana Club Añejo (black label), or the Centenario (came in a fancy clay pot), will be among my favorites as well, but here in the States those are banned as they are Cuban Reserve Rums...

I had thought that corn whiskey was the same as bourbon. Is there some difference of which I am unaware?
No matter, I'm a scotch man. Islay all the way.
