I've tried many, and recently got a Hifiman Deva Pro wired and really like them for FPS gaming out of the box. For music they need some EQ (I use a modified Autoeq profile to warm up vocals a little). With a Topping A70Pro and E70 9028Pro DAC they're really good. Has anyone else found their personal end game for gaming headphones/IEMs?

Not end game, but I am happy with what I own for now.

I use Focal Bathys or Meze Rai Solo for portable gaming, and any of my Focals when using a home console.
Mostly use Bathys as I believe they are laid back but energetic enough for gaming, and could move to Clears or Elegia when I fancy it usually depending on the game I want to play. All are paired with a RME ADI-2 DAC FS.

Before this setup, I used Sennheiser HD6XX paired with Schiit Modi 3, Magni 3, and Loki mini. Still use this on my non-gaming pc.

I've been using Drop FDX1 for a very long time, and I think it's phenomenal for gaming and movies as an iem. I was playing GoW and the sound just comes through like it should IMO. I switched to D9200 and felt like the response is wonky (mids sounded so wrong), that's how reference the FDX1 sounds to my ears.

GoW's sound mixing is just amazing, and FDX1 just really expresses it really well.

Z12 and TRI White Tiger...Z12's have better technicality, of course. I mostly play fighting games tho, so I'm not looking for bullets and footsteps.

That’s awesome! The Hifiman Deva Pro wired sounds like a solid choice, especially for FPS gaming. The soundstage and detail are perfect for pinpointing movements, and it’s great that you’ve dialed in the EQ to enhance the vocals for music. With a setup like the Topping A70Pro and E70 9028Pro DAC, I can imagine the audio quality being top-notch. As for my personal endgame for gaming headphones/IEMs, I’ve tried a few, but nothing beats a pair that balances both immersion in gaming and quality music playback. I'd love to hear what others are using for their own endgame setup too!

I use my Ultrasone HFI-780 and have been for the past 10 years now. I'm sure there's better but just not ready to invest in headphones with the sole purpose of gaming although I have been gaming more in the past year then I have in the previous 4-5 years.

The DCA Noire X has been fantastic sounding for gaming. Despite some comfort issues that I seem to be on the minority on they are great.

I mainly play single-player games and absolutely love RPGs and some survival FPS titles. Right now, I’m using my trusty Aeon X Closed with a custom EQ to give the bass a little boost, while also testing out the SJY Moonlight. I’ve completely fallen for the Aeon X and am planning to upgrade to the Noire 2 very soon! 😊

The last game I played was Indiana Jones with my 660S, and it was phenomenal. I’ve never been an Indiana Jones fan, but the game pulled me in so much that I’m now a fan of the movies too! 😂

PC38X, Hexa and Ananda Stealth's once in a while. Never thought I would, but wearing IEM's can be kinda nice depending.
The one that became very popular in recent years with the YT headphone community is the Audeze Maxwell. Closeback, but they're supposed to be really good and wireless to boot.

Audio Technica ATH-R70X. Never used IEM for PC gaming.
