I don't mean to tread on your thread. It's a DAP with 2 microSD slots that you can stretch to 3 slots. No silly Android ecosystem.

My Shanling M3s has OTG - I've never known what it meant, mainly because of the utterly lousy documentation they (don't) supply. When I select File Browser there's a choice of TF Card (which is what I use) or OTG.
I am using the older Cayin n5ii with 2 x 1Tb cards and it works flawlessly. I am considering buying a n5iis if I can find a new one.Cayin N5iiS.

That and card size limitations are now rather moot. It's my understanding that the reason two card slots were dropped was, as inferred by Fiio, that there was a distinct disparity between read/write speeds for the two slots. It appears that no matter what the OS instructions, one slot will be identified as primary and run at capacity, the other slot was identified as secondary and ran at a significantly reduced speed. This apparently had a measurable impact on sound reproduction. The allocation of primary and secondary was random and predicated on which media in which slot was chosen first. This combined with increased capacity of microsd made the change to a single slot a preferred option for manufacturers. I think it's no surprise that the only devices offering two slots are at the lower end of the market. It's the old story quality vs convenience.
