Any reason that you don't have any listed from Audio Aero or Simaudio?

Well my new CDP arrived yesterday! I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I like what I hear.

(Even in its un-burned-in state, but I'm hoping burn-in changes a few things here and there.)

The bad news is that this means I'm not going to write anything else about it yet. Looks like you guys will have to wait until I have my balanced amp!

I had the Audio Aero Prima and decided its sub-miniature tubes weren't for me. And since the rest of Audio Aero's line-up also uses mini tubes I had to scrap them. Simaudio, well I looked at those but the aesthetics of their line-up didn't click with me.

I guess I will say though that this is the most expensive component I've gotten yet, and the most expensive I'll ever go - I ended up squeezing out all my spare resources for this CDP, and right now I'm glad I did!

You could always upgrade a non-balanced CDP to a balanced unit by embedding a DAC.
