Hey all, since I'm after a v1 fuze like a fair few people, I was just wondering if anyone knew when the v2 fuze was released? Makes buying off ebay much easier.

Not sure of exact date, but it’s been well over a year now and it’s almost impossible to find them in the larger sizes. You’ll have more luck with a refurbished 2 or 4gb model as I’ve heard no one’s finding v1’s in the 8gb size.

My 8GB Fuze is a v1, got it back in early 2009 probably as one of the last NIB v1 stock. I can't be sure but I think v2 likely hit market around 2008. You might want to check out RockBox.org as they keep fairly detail log on hardware change on Fuze, IIRC.

Apparently buying a reburbished 8gb fuze will take some luck in getting a v1. I got a v4 fuze around a week or 2 ago but others here bought refurbished as well and got v2.

I've contacted some eBay sellers and asked them to check the version. Individuals have done it, but the big sellers didn't respond.
