Black, because most things come in black and nothing really "stands out" too much. Also it matches with my audio table.

Silver looks great if done correctly though.

black, black and black

my only gear that's not black is a pair of blue JVC MMs, so I keep them in Yuin's black cylinder box

Gear?

You did not specify.

For RAIN gear, I favor yellow or orange.

For audio gear, I favor whatever color the good-sounding equipment happens to be. In my system, it's some black, some silver, and some grey. I'll leave cables and phono cartridges out of it. Oh, I just remembered, the vintage Onkyo receiver I just bought has faux-wood.

Does anyone here remember the white Adcom gear? They beat Ipod to the color by several years. Oh wait - I happen to have a pair of white Minimus Seven speaks. They sound great with a good amp and a subwoofer.

Tough call.

I really like my BLUE MicroZotl amp and the blue KimberKables.
But the shiny black acrylic turntable is nice too....

Black, definitely. It just looks better when it's black, period. No matter what component it is. haha

Blue leds suck, they are just too bright and uncomfortable to my eyes x_x
