what's the best deal u ever had

I think the DT880s are one of the best deals in audio at ~$225, but I don't expect everyone to agree. In the portable player department, the ~$20-$30 going rate for the Sony D-33 PCDP is a real bargain. Sounds *much* better than the price would suggest.

My Audioquest G-Snake cables are a pair I'd recommend to anyone at their going rate... definitely sound better than the price would suggest, although it could be a case of good synergy.

Edit -- I also feel that the Headsave Go-Vibe was a real bargain at $69, when they were being sold.

I gave my Shure E4C's to my friend because I couldn't stand them and already got my Super.fi 5.

Technically thats the best deal my friend got..not me. But close enough.

My NOS denon 2900 for $250 from crutchfield and my stax sr-x mk. III with srd-7/sb for $100 are my best deals. Both happened within a month of each other.

I got a great condition Marantz model 2238 receiver for $1.00 from Salvation Army. I have never heard an amp that provides a fuller, more inviting sound than this Marantz. It is by no means a high-end amp with lots of detail, but for the money, it is loads of fun!

Well I've gotten some things for free like the Super.Fi 5 Pro that was given to us as a door prize when we went to the factory tour...

As for stuff that I've paid out a bit of money: The Horent cost me $20 in raffle tickets...

Thank you Ray! I love this thing. I'll be getting one of your home amps when funds are available.

It was through some price matches and a little manipulation and some gift certificates that only 60$ came out of my pocket and went to BestBuy
