I greatly enjoy the Sony D-NE10. I have two of them - very versatile, sleek and great sounding. Line out can be powerfully bright, but heapdhone out using the parametric equalizer sounds so good it doesn't matter.
My only complaint is in the design. Seems like the wired remote/readout is used 90% of the time, but is a design afterthought when it comes to mounting. The player sits in this beautiful acrylic playing/charging stand when not used in a portable mode, but there's no place for the remote. A little channel or clip somewhere on the stand would've helped.
