you broke you only pair of good headphones, and only have about $15-ish dollars to your name?

In other words, what is the best pair of headphones for about 15$?

I in the past have always liked the sony mdrv150's from walmart, but what do you think?

at $15 I'd sell my ipod, buy a set of PX100 and run them from my old discman or tape player.

If the mdr-v150 were the only available headphones, I'd strongly consider the option of merely whistling all my favorite tunes.

There isnt a contest. Koss KSC75 on sale if all ya got is $15.
Sony MDR-V150 are very muddy sounding, but they do have a set of portables that look like competition to AKG K26p.......and they sound much better than the AKG, which i thought were terrible. Theyre foldable closed phones that dont cover the ear and the bass is strong but not really detailed, but ok.

FYE has the Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ink'd on sale for only 9.99. I know that SkullCandy is usually fashion jewelry that sounds like crap for the price, but this set of IEMs are good for under $10.
But for the regular $30 price, would be over-priced.

Philips must have something decent for $15. I have a set of buds from philips that isnt bad for $14, that i got from Office Max.
Not super detailed , but they are balanced and pleasant, and i like them much better than IBUDS.

For $15 I'd buy a lot of glue and try to fix my 650s. Failing that, a pair of PX100 would do the job just nicely, like a mini-650. I'm not sure if you can get them for $15 in the US of A but they're probably not far off.

With 15$, I'd buy a bucket for my mom a couple of days before she receives her wages and on the other day mention carefully how much I need good headphones to enjoy my music and focus better, thus studying more effectively.

Then I can have pretty much every sub$K headphones I want.

KSC75's, definitely.

Not only are they "good for the money," they are excellent cans, period. You could be happy with them for a long time.
