What should I expect from the IEMatch when the IEM's tuning is designed to be customizable via the output impedance? I'm referring to JH IEMs and Truthear Zero, which attenuate mids and treble when an in-line resistor (impedance adapter) is added.
Edit: so I pulled the trigger on one of these. It does allow me to use the Zero Red on my HPA-23RM's current output, which has an unusually high output impedance. However, the decrease in sound quality is too much to ignore. On the 23RM's voltage output (which allows me to compared the Zero Red w/ and w/o the IEMatch), adding the IEMatch noticeably impacts the dynamic of the sound, comparable to switching from a high quality interconnect cable to a low quality one.
