what song do you hate the most?

I can't believe so many here hate Queen, and Bohemian Rhapsody in particular... people, it's a CLASSIC!

I actually enjoy listening to Queen once in a while. And Brian May is God.

As for terrible songs: considering this time of the year, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Last Christmas by "Wham!". Radio stations should be fined everytime they play that.

My current runner for "stupidest song ever" though is "Sweetest Poison" by a "band" of which the name I can't even remember. Does anyone know this utter piece of crap? It really is that bad. Actually, just googling around I found out this came out of a German casting show. Yuck. EDIT: For those masochistically inclined, I think you can even watch the video online here. I have warned you though.

Oh, and I'll add my vote to Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and however all their names are. This stuff makes me want to break something.

If only I could hear Bill Murray do this on his old SNL skit. What was his name? Nick Fury? ...something like that...would've been hilarious.

Good call on Macy Gray, I hate her voice as well. Along those lines, let me add (this will undoubtedly be an unpopular choice) Bob Dylan, probably my most hated for voice alone. I'd rather listen to nails on a chalkboard.

I think Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Queen are mediocre, but not that bad compared to Macy Gray, Bob Dylan, and especially Hootie. That was a painful year for me when his songs were all over the radio.

Most punk, grunge, and death metal. No validating reasons to even call the great majority of it music.

I'm blown away by some of your picks, though--Nights in White Satin is bad?? Free Bird??

Are you really sure about this? I mean, can you honestly and in good conscience rate Bohemian Rhapsody above something like, say, Angel by the Kelly Family in terms of annoyance? I just can't believe that

Technically Dylan can't sing, but he does have a great voice nonetheless.

Dear god there is so much crap out there, I don't know where to start. Here's some I haven't seen mentioned:

R.E.M. - Shiny Happy People
Queen - Bicycle Race
Kelis - Milkshake
Brian Hyland - Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini
K7 - Come Baby Come

Unforunately there is no shortage of crappy music in this world.
