and I'm getting rid of iTunes. So what do you guys recommend/use for software? I've got it down to three, I think?? Thanks for any help. Oh yeah I'll be using FLAC files.
Jetaudio for playing videos and converting videos. Jetaudio is the best media player out there and one of the best video converters. And if you have divx or divx pro you can use it through Jetaudio.
Media Monkey for organizing and tagging.
I wouldn't use Windows media player if you payed me...nor itunes.
I have tried dozens of programs over the years and IMO/IME nothing even comes close. I won't go all fan-girl on you, but I cannot say enough about this software.
I like Media Monkey but I cant for the life of me figure out how to run ASIO with MM. I got it working with FooBar and it works great but Foobar is not a very friendly program.
Thanks guys. I think I'll try the jetaudio first. I do use EAC foobar2k and dbPoweramp now for conversion and foo2k for listening but like you said it's not real user friendly. does jetaudio do ASIO?
i use mediamonkey for everything. i think it's a brilliant program. tags albums, including a search for album art feature, rips/burns CDs, converts audio files...its great.
Well after seeing the poll results and reading the posts I guess I'll try j river first. Does it output ASIO? I'm using an EMU 0404 USB for my soundcard.
I thought Cowon players worked without intermediary media managing programs. Why would you ever want to inflict such a program on yourself willingly? Just organise your files.
