No doubt (about the memory loss).

A little off topic, but as a college student in Syracuse NY, I once had the job of handing out flyers for a local underground newspaper to concertgoers at a Dead concert (in was in a building called the War Memorial, if you can believe that). Anyway, you should have seen the dilated pupils in that crowd (including mine), not to mention the 7-foot high pile of wine, beer and other illicit stuff (legal stuff) collected by security guards (who took most of it home, I'd guess).

Anyway, during the show (not even a sellout), some hard-working Dead Heads built a folding chair pyramid that went up about 15-20 feet, with two chairs on top. Don't ask me how, but it stayed up with people sitting on the chairs. Imagine trying that today? Ah, the good old days.

Lucky kid, indeed...lol

Having already posted once in this thread, and now reading others lists, I remember more than I listed before...

Also saw:

- Yes (in the round)
- Kansas
- Billy Joel
- BlackOak Arkansas
- The Allman Bros
- The Rolling Stones
- Although I mentioned the Dead, I've seen about 27 of their shows
[Hmmm, maybe that has a part to play in my long term memory recall?] lol

Looking for new music and saw this thread and the title made me laugh cos like seeing concerts is like a part of life. Been seeing concernts since the late 1970s...and I'd have to say the list would be at least 250-500, more if I counted the myriad of just going to the local music club to see who is playing.

For sentimental sakes, I just saw Rush at MSG in NYC; I saw them 8x in the 70s and 80s and then sorta moved on. Next up: Queens of the stoneage. 2006-07: Alice in Chains (2x), Beck, Primus, The Pretenders, Rollins Band, Tool (2x), Chris Cornell , White Stripes, Rush, Beastie Boys, and a few more I must be forgetting. What a question!

My best recollection, in alphabetical order, since they all start to bleed together after awhile...

AFI w/ the Explosion
AFI w/ No Motiv and Thrice
AFI w/ Bleeding Through an the Explosion
Billy Idol @ Warped
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (@ Britt, OSU and again with an opener band I don't recall)
Combichrist w/ Imperative Reaction and Modulate
Danzig w/ Lacuna Coil, the Haunted @ Darkest of Dark
Dropkick Murphys w/ Lars Frederiksen & the Bastards and Thug Murder
Dropkick Murphys @ Warped
Epica w/ Visions of Atlantis
HorrorPops w/ Roger Miret & the Disasters
KMFDM w/ some band whose name I forget but which reminded me of Drill
KMFDM w/ Combichrist
Lacuna Coil w/ Within Temptation and Stolen Babies
Lars Frederiksen & the Bastards, HorrorPops, Roger Miret and Die Hunns @ Punks vs. Psychos II
Nekromantix w/ HorrorPops
Nekromantix w/ some random supporting act
Tsunami Bomb

Hmmm... that list seems awfully short. Ah well. Finntroll, Nightwish, Paradise Lost, Sonata Arctica, King Diamond, Leaves' Eyes and Kreator are all in the pipe over the next few months.
