probably the house. but besides having a roof to live under... it's nice to have a fast car. fast bicycle too. (thank god i don't have a fast motorcycle. heh he...)

but seriously, none of anything i have owned or will ever own affects my life more than the everyday people i meet everywhere and about. i am reminded of that every single living day.

(by the way, that gun in the first post..... i have no frickin' idea what the heck the dude was talking about, but it sure sounded cool and looks BADASS. heh he.)

For me I'd have to say nothing. All my objects can be replaced if necessary. The closest thing I have that fits the bill would probably be the first reply letter I received from the first artist (my now great friend) I started agenting and a dragon pendant I wear that has a lot of meaning attached.

After much thought I remembered my most prized possession.
I don't have it anymore.
It was a poster of a Ferrari race car that I purchased when I was about 12 years old. I can still remember that summer staying with my cousin in Boise. I got that poster and kept it in good shape. I had it framed when I was in my late 30's. It got destroyed in a house fire in 1998.
Fire can teach that you people are the only important things in life. The rest of it is all just stuff. Replaceable or not, it's just stuff.

Bingo. Only life matters. For me it was few too many life incidents, the last a big motorcycle accident. This is why I say I really don't have anything "prized" - except (maybe!) two things that have a rememberance to people in my life.

I have a nixie clock in my apartment, guests are always drawn to it. It's cool retro-tech. But as the seconds tick by, I sometimes wonder how I'm going to replace the tubes in 10-15 years when they burn out.

At least the hoarding of these tubes have not yet occured, which is the reason I got out of tube audio equipment. I love the Amprex Bugleboy 12AU7, but in the 2.5 years I had the Cary SLP-50 pre amp, the tube prices doubled and the tubes were becoming much harder to find. That preamp also chomped tubes, with replacements every 9 months.

Otherwise...back to the subject of the thread at hand...my favorite possession would be my apartment I guess. The largest purchase of my life. I guess I'm fufilling the American dream of home ownership. Otherwise my stereo setup, which was the culmination of a few years of equipment swapping until it sounded...ah, so nice.

My dream car as well. A convertible would be nice, but that is really a reach.

I don't think I have a prized possesion. I have lots of cool stuff that I don't want to lose, but it could all be replaced without too much trouble.

Nice furniture on the 10/22. Bet you use match target ammo with your tack driver.

My 3 favorite things. They are the things I use pretty much every day.

I like hats watches and knives. Because I use them everyday for my job. Sailing Instructor. And every day when I am not working as well. Which is most the time cause the best job in the world happens to be seasonal.

Oh ya, Go Cubs!
