According to the internets, the Grammy award for best record in the year of my birth was Bonnie Raitt's "Nick of Time".

Best new artist: Milli Vanilli (according to Wikipedia, it was later revoked... How does that work?)

Edit: Upon further research, I found out that Milli Vanilli's Grammy was revoked because the vocals in their debut weren't really theirs :S
