I was proud of bagging UM2 second hand for £120 when they were still selling around £250 new 18-24 months ago...

But it has to be the Sennheiser PX100 still. What a bargain. I sold off loads of earbuds and canals but still have these alongside what you see in the sig

I don't think that "best buy" necessarily has to mean "the item that one pays the least amount under street value for"... so that being said, the price I paid for my Sennheiser HD-600s was not any less than what anyone else could find them for, but I believe that they were my best buy to date (i.e. the best $200 I've put into my system).

I have to be honest, by far my best buy to date has been my Meir Audio Corda Head Five headphone amp. Limited production run of 500 (2 years ago?). This was a special item for Headfi members put on by Meir Audio.

I absolutely love the look, feel and of course the sound of this AMP. Plenty of pep for my HD650s (which I also love). I can't say how happy I am that I bought it. I really don't even have any urge to upgrade, very happy with it. I don't hear much about these amps these days which must be a good thing because everyone is off enjoying them.

AKG K702 for $279.99. I also got my Grado sr-80's for $90 brand new from an audio store--they liked me and gave me a $5 discount haha.
