What is the "weirdest" album you own and why?

The Better Beatles - Mercy Beat

Beatles cover band from Omaha who were pretty much universally hated in their day, and basically hated by everyone I've ever made listen to the record. Great stuff!

See CRUD CRUD: I'm Down.

Panic at the Disco - Fever you can`t sweat out

Why? Because a little grudge screamo once in a while never hurt anyone. 'Part from a mosh pit. But I'd rather spend that money on upgrades rather than get trampled by 13 year olds with nothing better to do.

ween- the pod

they lived in an eco-sphere for 6 months, inhaled 2 cans of scotchguard, and made an album.

x2 on early Ween. "God, Ween, Satan: The Onessssss", "Pure Guava" and especially "The Pod" are pretty damn bizarre (and still some of my favourite albums ever... fanboy alert!).

I challenge you to get through the last minute of "Don't Laugh, I love you".

Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante, The Knife - Silent Shout, Animal Collective - Here Comes The Indian, Mouse on Mars - Varcharz, Squarepusher - Go Plastic, and any Venetian Snares album will make people look at you funny when you play them.

That's why they're pretty common in my rotation.

Fist screwers Anonymous by the Leather Nun.

Actually, anything by the Leather Nun is weird.

An album by the Kronos Quartet... can't remember the name. It's based on early music and contemporary adaptions on early music, on a modern quartet. The first couple pieces were nice, but later on when it got to some contemporary work by an English composer, the abstract was too intense for me

I don't mind bragging about it here, but if any one of my friends listened to any of my Béla Fleck and the Flecktones albums they would probably be utterly confused and because of that they would proceed to make fun of me.

Recently it's been Six Litanies for Heliogabalus by John Zorn, along with a whole lot of other Zorn stuff that I can't play within earshot of sane acquaintances.

On a longer timeline, I've certainly avoided playing people Meredith Monk or Diamanda Galas.
