Was there an IEM that just lasted and lasted and is still in perfect working condition?

Sadly, in the past, all of my headphones have died on me under a year. Hopefully, my more high-end IEMs won't do the same.

E3c since early 2004, not using much now but it was my main IEM for a good whole year. Never have any IEM that died on me though.

My skull candy ink'd lasted that long, but I've since sold them and moved onto the er4p. So far, so good at about a couple/three weeks!

My UM2s. They were originally a solution for low bass on my otherwise excellent Ety4Ps (yes, I'm mildly BASShead). Approaching 3 years and still going strong (and I still have the Etys, too!).

wow, I don't know why, but I am way out of it today. I was thinking days for some reason. any other day I could tell you how many minutes are between any two dates in the last hundred years, but not this one.

I've never been too lucky, went through two or three pair of sony erisson in ears before I found head-fi, and out of the two warranty replacement CX300's I had, the longest any pair lasted before one channel going quiet was 6 months.

I'll reply to this thread again in a few years when my new Denon C751's are hopefully still working

I forgot to mention that the audio technica CK7's I aquired at 18 months old only lasted about 3 month too, due mainly to my iPod breaking, forcing me to use my N95 as a music source. The headphone jack is on the side, and because of this, uneccessary strain was put on the headphone jack, and the connection went, meaing only one channel works now.

Mylar x3, one of the most fragile iem. Still useable even after 3years, bought from the earliest batch from Jaben. I guess i'm just lucky
