What is the headphone that you will keep forever and never sell?

Abyss Diana V2 in my case. My first high end headphone and one that I really enjoy using. The other one is a Grado Sr 125 I bought 20 years ago in Houston by mistake when I knew nothing about headphones. I do not use it that much but is a special headphone for me because it started the hobby.

Where do I start? A promise broken too often but I can’t part with my HD800S…although I did many times only to buy it again and again.

I'm keeping the Hifiman He5xx since it's so comfortable and don't need to equalize it. Also not so expensive to use every day since I test a few amplifiers a week that come in and not a huge risk since I got these for $80 on eBay. Also the 7hz Zero:2 IEMs are a keeper for travel and not worrying about breaking or losing a $24 pair. I've had the Hifiman Arya Stealth a few times, and would consider them my endgame pair. I have a business and can't tie up too much by keeping a really expensive set.

It'd be my Quad Era-1 for sure.

Not my first "audiophile" headphone, but the most enjoyable bc it works wonderfully with all genres I listen to. :metal:

HE-500, HE-6 SE, HD-600 - I already got rid of the rest, they stay.

For vote counting: HE-500

The Creative Aurvana Live! was the first "good" headphone I tried that fit my personal tastes. There are plenty of headphones with better resolution and other technical aspects, but the CAL! helped me define what I like and dislike in headphones more than any other. I've had to repair mine many times, but it is still kicking, and every time I put it on, I enjoy that warm, immersive sound that sent me on my journey through many different sets. These days, I'm firmly entrenched in the Foster/Fostex/Denon sound signature with my closed back headphones. Still need to find an open back that can take me a step or two above my Philips X2.

Most likely my Denon D2000. Maybe it's just nostalgia but that pair still has some kind of "magic" on it. Such a versatile and musical headphone.
