What is the first LP/CD you bought with your own $

The first music I bought with my own money was a Three Dog Night cassette in the early 70's. First album was the Eagles greatest hits. I can't remember my first 8-track or CD purchase.

I completely forgot about posting those pictures until now. Here they are:

Trifold album jacket - inside with record. Note that the jacket is hanging from near the top of a door. There's even a small hole at the top of the jacket, just in case you wanted to actually hang it up.

And here's the (in)famous "vomit" LP in all it's glory. My is mostly light brown but the color and the pattern varied from LP to LP.

For me, Watermark by Enya.

Incidentally, my first classical music CD was Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto #2 and Rhapsody on a Theme on Paganini (Graffman/NY Phil/Bernstein). Back then I didn't know my Rachmaninov from my Paganini; I bought the CD simply because Enya said that was her favorite music -- and it later transpired that this is the only music that she cares to listen to. When I learned about this, I had a worry about her future development as a musician -- a well-founded worry, as it turned out.

The soundtrack of "Grease". I can still remember very well that my grandparents gave me the money for my birthday. It was very snowy and slippery and I was so afraid I would slip with my bicycle and damage the disk that I walked home with the bike on my hand.
