Hi everyone,
I am new to this site and am looking into getting a decent pair of headphones. I have a small DAC / AMP combo and I like the sound, however after using my DAC with my coworkers ~500$ headphone AMP, I realize I need a better amp.
I am probably going to get either the Schiit Magni or Schiit Vahala. Which of these is known for more power? I know there are all the subjective differences between solid state and tubes. I am leaning towards the tube Vahala as I've read great things about it.
Assuming the Vahala,
Can anyone with experience using the HD 600/650 compare and contrast them to the Beyerdynamic DT 990?
I have also looked into the Shure 940. Are there any other obvious headphones in the ~750 or less headphones category I should checkout that would do well with this amplifier??
