Listening to Plastic Fantastic Machine- LUXURY album on diyMod iPod 5.5, PA2V2. My travel rig when not using ER4s and Tomahawk.
I have grown to really like the 225i which I purchased to replace SR90i I gave to my sister. I found the 90s to be somewhat too bright and the 225 much less fatiguing...
They give a very nice full bodied sound when listening to groups like The Honeycombs. On some other groups though it was a bit painful due to how much was revealed of the poor scratchy quality of the source material which I never noticed with bookshelf speakers strangely enough. Thanks for the reply
Still rocking with the Ultrasone HFI-780 this time with the game soundtrack to Descent To Undermountain by Richard Band, Rick Jackson and Ron Valdez.
HE-400
I use this for rock, metal, dubstep and chillout electronic.
DT880
I use this to watch movies on my PC. Loving it for video games as well. Music wise I listen to anime and video game soundtracks on it. Some acoustic rock.
Finally upgraded my cans for the better. Currently using Audio GD NFB 15.32. Massive step up in quality.
Songbird or VLC-->ZD-Tech 2704-->8416 Fiios Clone-->Edifier HA11-->Plextor D500.
Harmonium - 1975 - si on avait besoin dune cinqueeme saison
The Plextor sounds like a 668b clone with similar design choices. Not as big a clamp, not as hot, smaller cups and diaphragms. Better on classical and female vocal, the CAL! much better choice for rock. The repro chain is unchanged, though I swap things in and out, the current line-up is best from what I have cluttering my desktop at this time.
