What does Head-Fi look like for a mod?

I was just curious. It seems that you guys get so many options, cleaning up user feedback when people set it to neutral on accident, fixing all the little bugs that occur, etc. Do all these things show up in your normal browsing session or is there another site or something where you can basically edit our accounts? I'm just curious.

I administrated both IPB and phpbb forums - typically the bulk of thread pruning, warning, etc. functions are right on the page while browsing.  more complex options such as adjusting the forum layout, adding/removing sections, banning users, etc. are in a separate page.

I imagine Huddler is following a similar format

well, slightly, from your point of view, it's clear you're looking at it with a IE8 while I see it from a grado "in your face"point of view, I'm the guy in the tankette BTW

We don't usually talk about the inner workings. I hope I'm not out of line here (Jude, feel free to delete this) but once you get access, you see more options on the screen. For instance, I can move, delete or edit your post. Entire threads can be moved, as well.

There's an administrative section where you can view user profiles and detailed information. When a Viagra spammer shows up and makes 20 posts, there are ways to quickly pull up the posts and dump them.

As for editing feedback and tweaking the site's bugs, that's a job done by the admins and Huddler staff. Moderators are here to keep order and help out. Admins have all the moderator control plus the ability to work on the site itself.

It can't be said enough, but these are unpaid volunteer positions. We don't get anything from Head-Fi and the sponsors and vendors don't give us anything. We do know a lot of vendors and manufacturers, and are friends, but it's hard not to when you go to meets and talk to people. Bu there's no quid pro quo.

We do this to help out, which seems a bit of a running theme in my life. At work, I get pulled into training people. Then there's a family business I do a lot of quasi-unpaid work for. It generates money, but we're putting 100% back into paying everything off, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. It'll pay off, but not for a few more years.

So, while I'm sorta done with upgrading (I think) it's nice to hang around here and help out.

I would love to see what all the admins/mods see when they log in.

I think it's your browser settings, Jude.  Here's the one I get with Firefox:
