What does "Digital" imply on headphones packing?

True, but just the other day I saw these Coby earbuds at a store. It not only said "digital" on the packaging, but there was a 'minidisc' logo on it!

I'm ashamed to say, I used to like the sound of Cby "digital" headphones. Not the buds, and not the "DJ" series. They had one model that looked a little like PX200s, and I used to think that was good. Plus they were like ten bucks.

Now I pay ten bucks EXTRA in shipping to get my E5s here faster.

At least you can't say you weren't warned, or did you miss all those "Welcome to Head-Fi, Sorry about your wallet" posts?

Is it a bad omen that I never got that greeting? Do people who don't receive it go on to live under a bridge, using their Linn cd player as a pillow, and their Orpheus as earmuffs?

No, up until Takashi spoiled it, it meant that you were going to get off cheap.

The best I've come across was DVD COMPATIBLE on simple RCA cables.

So if you could, would you get a refund, erase all memory of Head-Fi from your brain, and go back to the bliss of Coby ignorance? You'd save your wallet from demise...

Cheers,
Alex

Never.

Somewhere deep in my soul, I would know I was missing something.

Actually I think they are trying to tell you that you probably need an amp... without actually saying it of course.
