Sony uhd tv internal dac sounds nice ,way better some other brand i have tried.sony dap player (nw a35 )also sounds nice ,almost full bodied sound . Wont compare to dedicated dacs or anything but u know.So do they buy da chips from other manufacturer (like from akm or ti) or do they use their in house fpga thing.
What DAC does sony use in their portable music players and uhd tvs?

I think most Chinese electronics companies use their own chips. I know lots of companies have Samsung parts in them and I'm guessing Sony is somewhat similar in the sense that they make their own stuff and possibly sell tech to foreign companies in the US and EU
