Hi, buddies !

I picked up a k702 lately to run my sony D50. Sometines just insert K702 to my laptop. Both give a fairly good amount of volume. But I wonder to what degree K702's potential reachs on D50 or latop ONLY (without DAC / AMP) ?

So a DAC or AMP or both or combo needed  to fully play K702 ?

1,
My preferences of tone is :
As original sound as possible,  clear sound as K702 itself, minimal extra adjustments of sound source.
2,
Also I'd like to buy a beyer headphone like DT880 pro (600 ohms). so it'd be better if the DAC/AMP can fully play DT880 pro as well. That is to say, the DAC/AMP would rather have a range of output  impedance from a few ohms to 60 ohms.
3,
a portable or middle size (also portable, can be put into a handbag for travelling)
4,
Budget: under $1000 or so (all for DAC and AMP or a combo)

Any suggestions would be appreciated !

The akgs are pretty demanding cans. If you perfer no coloration, I think just audio aha-120 might suit your taste.

I use the Q701 with an E17 with great results. This headphone doesn't seem to be that picky or hard to drive. I'm driving it into the mid 80's (db) on medium gain with the volume around half.
