Hi Head-Fi community,
In an attempt to improve my audio experience I went ahead and bought FIio E17 and Samson SR850. Sound quality wise it was definitly a big step up from my Xonar DX with cheap headphone. However, I ran into two issues,
* SR850 is so uncomfortable. My ears gets hot and sweaty just about 15 minutes. I see a lot of people recommend AKG-240 velour pads but it would cost me around $40 to get a pair from AKG. I'm not sure if spending $40 on a $50 headphone is a good idea. What do you think?
* For some reason when listening to high pitched music (such a vocaloid) or movies, some highs are "muddy" or "harsh" (I'm not good with description). it definitely doesn't sound comfortable. Is this part of SR850 sound signature?
