What book are you reading right now?

I have been reading a used copy of https://www.amazon.co.uk/Search-Peace-Century-Diplomacy/dp/0316640379 .
A very educating and thought provoking book, and some of the key observations like Russia views a neutral zone of influence (like the warsaw pact countries) as a key protection are relevant to the actions of recent months. Other observations such as Russia will not invade countries (aka Hungary) seem naive now, but it is still an interesting book.

RIP David McCullough... Though his Presidential biographies are most widely celebrated, his books "The Johnstown Flood," and "The Great Bridge" are absolute masterpieces and are among my favorite books of all time. His narration of Ken Burns' "Civil War," and of many episodes of the PBS "American Experience" series are state-of-the-art storytelling. His participation in those projects lent them credibility and his voice provided clarity. As an historian he had few equals.

OK, so I'm not reading The Necronomicon. Evie is reading it to me. You can read it if you want.

But not The Necronomicon Spellbook. Or Utterly Wicked - Hexes and Curses.
If there's any incantation of curse done I'll be the one doing it.

Is there an actual conclusion to that story, Doug? Seems it's still a WIP :-)

I've been reading more of Clive's stories, now on The NUMA Files.
There are 19 of them ... the main character is Kurt Austin. The divers
who discovered the Challenger site yesterday would fit right in ...

Still reading and re-reading portions. Very comprehensive with regard to research. He outlines a compelling timeline of the evolution of the Republican party.
