Actually I should've said the Sony MDR-E888, since they were the 'phones that got me into all this, and I still own a pair to date.

JVC HA D990

These remind me of a closed grado, if such a phone existed.
I just got another pair off HEAD-FI and they were as good as I remembered.

In fact , if someone has a pair for sale PM me.

my eggos...

they were my first step into better sound (and chick magnets on ears), and even after i accidentally tore the wire out from the phone and ruined them, i still kept my babies then for about 6 years or so, hoping to find some way to resurrect them... but all to no avail, when it came time for college and my family decided to move to a smaller house what with the kids gone, the broken headphones just didn't have a space in the storage closet... *sigh*...

that's my tear jerker... *sniff*...

Jecklin Float IIs. I had a pair about 9-10 years ago. I always found them comfortable, and liked the spacious sound, despite what I looked like with them on. In fact, it's taken me a while, but I finally found another pair. They should be arriving any day now.
