Yup, the bassist with the longest name, NHOP,  was very easy to recognize due to his style and technique (if anyone has seen him play live)  and he was truly an amazing bass player, very overlooked outside the traditional or mainstream jazz world.

For my 101st post here on Head-Fi I present to you, Mott The Hoople!:

This was the 1st album I ever purchased. I bought it at a head shop when I was in 6th grade, way back in 1976. I still listen to this every few months and enjoy it every time. The original album is long gone but the FLAC file version sounds great!

Anyone else listening to this Goat album, World Music?  I finally picked it up today after meaning to for a while, and as I kind of expected from the buzz around it, it's fantastic.  The packaging for the vinyl is great, too.  The W/M's are cut out of the outside, and the inner sleeve fills them in with the same psych pattern in a different colour.  Also, the vinyl is clear.  Most importantly, it sounds amazing.

Autechre   YJY UX

Goat   Det som aldrig förändras / Diarabi

Flying Lotus   Getting There (feat. Niki Randa)

Sure I do. I've got a bud who's DJ'ing for a small london station. He was raving so furiously about it last autumn I couldn't possibly ignore it.

Now noise. Lovely lovely noise.

AVTechNO! - 69

When you combine 6 and 9 you get this EP. Someone on YouTube called this "sweet song sex". …Indeed. Miku's vocals on "6" make me melt in my seat.

I continue to be impressed by how prolific AVTechNO! continues to be while managing to stay surprisingly consistent when it comes to the quality of new material. I guess that's something one should expect from a person who named himself/herself after the fact that they are not perfectly happy with their work and want to continuously keep developing their skills.

Just finished listening to this:

Moved on to this:

This is the first time listening to Stone Sour, which is a bit strange as I've loved Slipknot since I was twelve.
So far I like what I hear!
