Miasma & The Carousel Of Headless Horses - Perils

Interesting instrumental progressive rock with a strong gothic bent. Excellent recording quality and musicianship. Another Web of Mimicry release. This label is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine.

I went for a walk today. Here's what my phone played me on shuffle:

AES Dana - Pollen - Horizontal Rain
John Abercrombie - The Third Quartet - Banshee
Matt Lange - East Coast / Resonate - East Coast (Original Mix)
Radiohead - In Rainbows - Bodysnatchers
Charlie Winston - Hobo - Soundtrack to Falling in Love
Jeremy Soule - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Harvest Dawn
Jeff Beck - Performing This Week… Live at Ronnie Scott's - Goodbye Pork Pie Hat / Brush with the Blues
Calla Soiled - Sweet Tear EP - Sweet Tear (Y calla K Cut Electro Remix) feat. Hatsune Miku
Tom Kerstens - Utopia - The Third Fire: First Trip to Palatine
Orion & J.Shore (original mix by Ralphie B.) - Brotherhood - Massive (Orion & J.Shore Remix)
Mike Morasky - Portal 2: Songs to Test By - Bombs for Throwing at You

I'm really diggin' the hand-picked song library on my iPhone (I should, shouldn't I?

).

Two of the tracks are actually free music ("Sweet Tear" and "Bombs for Throwing at You"). Here are the links to those:

Edit
Been listening to some of my Otographic favorites with my MOMENTUMs since I got home. Not sure if I like them yet, but I think they're getting gradually better as they get more burn-in.

Kyohei Akagawa is a genius. I'm still waiting for the day (not really) that Otographic Music releases their first bad track.

Remember 1982? There was a time in the early '80s when it was impossible to go to a party where there were any cool people and not find this album blaring. I looked around, and apparently it is currently out-of-print. However, on MOG (and maybe Spotify?), it is still possible to piece together the tracks in the correct order from various later compilations:

1. New Church
2. Russian Roulette
3. Question Of Temperature
4. Eat Your Heart Out
5. Portobello
6. Open Your Eyes
7. Livin' On Livin'
8. Li'l Boys Play With Dolls
9. Apocalypso
10. Holy War

One of the first great post-punk rock 'n roll albums.

Yes I did! :) She went from Phillips to RCA records. Both were in the tube business too, as we both know!
