To-mera - Exile

I like this album a lot. It's female fronted Prog metal with some thrash and jazzy elements thrown in at times, It's quite unique. They also share two common band members from Haken.

Today I've listened to:

Chicane - Far from the Maddening Crowds

When I heard this album for the first time during the summer, I somehow found it hard to believe how ridiculously good this album is. I tried listening to it relatively soon afterwards but it was simply too early and it just wasn't the same experience. Today I finally picked it up again, and wow this album still sounds as good as I remember. This made me realize I desperately need to attempt to acquire some more Chicane...

                                       Wintersun - Time I

To be honest when I heard this album for the first few times it literally made me fall asleep. I've listened to this a couple more times today after a small break and it's finally starting to sound more listenable to me. A decent effort for a Finnish band, but still sounds a bit too like your "typical" metal to me. I enjoy the growls much more than the clear vocals. Thumbs up for using inverted sounds on "Darkness and Frost".
