Another very fine album from the consistently great Joe Henry! It's interesting how he decided to leave the windows open in the room where they were recording and let all the outside noises from the street get on the recording. It might drive some people crazy to hear dogs barking or vehicles passing, but Joe had enough confidence in the live sound they were getting that he just decided to go with the flow and really capture a live sound. An interesting approach...
