Afrobeat most likely from Lagos.
Dig the rhythms right here!
No piano - just Trane, bass & drums. Nicely different vibe.
Dave Holland: Another Land.
Nifty! The drummer is Obed Calvaire. Guitarist is Kevin Eubanks.
Song composed by Mr. Calvaire. He's a talented drummer ...
Newly discovered jazz from suggestions over at the Schiit Happened thread.
Turns out there are a lot of jazz aficionados over there. HD800 ~~~~~~>

Two fine recordings of piano giants.

The Black Keys - Ohio Players - tubes and ZMF Atrium align well with this recording -
These are the ones I have...Only Twist I’ve heard - searching for Lee Ritenour sessions. ¡Dindi!
A Twist of Jobim (1997
A Twist of Marley (2001)
A Twist of Motown (2003)
I stopped chasing them after that. As I said, the only one I really like is A Taste of Jobim. That said, I've not listened to the last two since I got them upon release.

Jeff Beck - Wired Japan SACD just arrived, but not without a fight from my mailbox thankfully I got it out completely unscathed.
Blow by Blow and Rough and Ready are teriffic albums but there is just something about Wired that really clicks with me. What a musician. RIP Jeff Beck.

José James 1978. Released today and sounding magical on my Grado SR325x cans right now!
@LarsMan, did you ever get the Bitches Brew 40th Anniversary CD? Thoughts?
Anyway, this Miles Davis Big Fun (1974) Japanese Blu-Spec2 Edition (2023)...
Two disc / CD release. Excellent, and right up there with Bitches Brew, and Jack Johnson. It also features elements of Indian music with instruments like the Sitar and Tabla on tunes such as Recollections, and Yaphet, but also ambient vibes - Ife (Herbie Hancock Headhunters vibe), Traverse, Yaphet, and especially Recollections, which reminds of In A Silent Way. Most of the material was recorded around the Bitches Brew / In A Silent Way / Jack Johnson period (69-72). Click the link for more info.
If you're a fan of any of those albums, this is a must. I see it as a bridge between all 3. Production and recording are excellent. The sound quality of the Japanese Blu-Spec2 edition is outstanding. Typical of the Blu-Spec releases. I really like this one.
