I love this thread. I only ever recognize about 10% of the music. Either my musical tastes are narrow or there's a lot more out there that I haven't listened to. The world of music is just huge. Wow.
If you can recognise 10%, you are doing so well ! I'll be lucky with 5% but probably 2-3% for me. You are like having 10% of global knowledge, think how intelligent you must be!!

I enjoy classic rock and to see all of the musical interests here is quite impressive.

I reckon 'round 5% for me. Pardon lil' ol' me for reducing that percentage. I can perceive one or two people that knows what I am listening to.

I know that it's anime music, so it's highly likely that I like it. Gets my auto-approval.

Allen Toussaint - Jazzity Project.png

On this song, Allen goes ahead of the beat at 1:28, then back on-beat at 2:20. Cool.

That's Nicholas Payton on the trumpet.

Wynton Marsalis - Hot Fives Hot Sevens.png
Wycliffe "Pinecone" Gordon on the trombone. Victor Goins on the reeds.

That's Jon Batiste on the piano.

New Orleans music by the pros. Allen's two "jazz" albums are his only two
in the genre and were released in 2005 and 2009. He also released a superb
Katrina tribute album with Elvis Costello in 2006. In particular, "The Bright
Mississippi" is a great album. The Wynton Marsalis album is live in studio
and features his mates from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, some of
the best musicians on the planet. HD800 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> :)
