Definitely in my top 10 most special releases ever - purchased the double CD edition around 1993 and along with a few others at the time, shaped a large part of my listening journey to this day. It’s funny listening now, a mixture of feelings that range from almost tearful to a sense of joy and connection to that ‘coming of age’ moment as a 16 year old falling deeply in love with electronic music and the scene that came with it - ultimately damaging I must add, and thankfully I moved on from the excesses of rave culture of the mid 90s but carried and evolved the passion for the music. At the same time I’ve no regrets, it was a magic period of life in a time before digital had taken hold, Ireland was emerging from much darker economic times and the club/rave culture really brought everyone together, albeit through the narcotics too. Anyway, hadn’t intended to reflect like this but popping this on as a matter of convenience through my phone and TWS before bed has thrown me down memory lane…
