If I had to choose three albums that marked my youth, this would probably be #1.
Maybe followed by The Cult's "Love" / Brian Eno's "Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks" / Sisters Of Mercy "Floodland" ...
There were some fantastic releases in '87.

Shout out to @Whazzzup for posting a video from this group (Warpaint) a while back, and putting them on my radar. Their self-titled second album is unique and somewhat hard to describe. Ambient/ethereal but also rhythmic. Sweet, reverb-tinged vocal harmonies that sometimes border on dissonance. Superbly recorded, and worth a listen, although it won't be everyone's cup of musical tea!
