That's going back a few years, and substances may have been involved ... but they played the whole Supper's Ready side, so maybe the Foxtrot tour? (saw that show twice actually) and then A Trick of the Tail.I also got to see them (both Genesis and The Musical Box) perform all of 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway', complete with the original slides and costumes. Did you see one of those tours?
This was at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.
I'd love to see a tribute band do the whole Lamb Lies Down show.

You won't see a better tribute band for Genesis than The Musical Box - get on their mailing list and you should be able to get notified the next time they're doing a 'Lamb' tour, which they seem to do every few years or so, and they're always playing Canada a lot, no?That's going back a few years, and substances may have been involved ... but they played the whole Supper's Ready side, so maybe the Foxtrot tour? Songs composed by Wayne Henderson ... emphasis on the trombone!
Song composed by Joe Sample.
Song composed by Paul F. Mitchell.
From 1971 - 1974, after dropping the word "Jazz" from their name and moving
from soulful bop to more funky electronic music. Wayne Henderson / trombone
and Larry Carlton / guitar perform on all three albums. Their best sound, IMO,
was with Mr. Henderson in the band, and Larry Carlton really shines on the music.
I used to play this music before our frat keggers, to warm up the crowd, prior to
starting the hard-core disco. HD800 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

I've a few (about 12) Crusaders albums (vinyl and CD), plus solo albums from Stix Hooper, Wilton Felder, and Joe Sample, but sadly none of the three albums you show. Anyway, though I've bought a lot of their albums, and solo albums, I could never really could get into their sound. They were always hit and miss with me.

BTW, I thought they went back to the "Jazz Crusaders" with these albums (not all the original members, but with Wayne Henderson and Wilton Felder (1995 to 2000)...
These are my other Crusaders albums on CD (also have both Street Life, and Rhapsody and Blues on vinyl) but have more on vinyl (1977 to 2003)...
Rather confusing there, but those are the "Crusaders" as listed under their official discography.... The Crusaders discography.

I like their music, that's why I am listening to it. And, one of the more interesting, is the live album "Royal Jam" in London with the Royal Philharmonic and BB King.
I am certainly not suggesting that you buy any of those albums, as your stated position is "never really could get into their sound."
