On an FYI tip, I actually ordered that Roberta Flack album for the track Tryin' Times based on this YouTube video (14-minute mark)....


Anyway, those are "his" 10 greatest Jazz albums... based on his desire to go against the grain, and a list most (me included) would certainly disagree with. That said, there is some interesting stuff there, and some of which I have.

I favored each of these albums in Roon. Will listen tonight and tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

I currently have 3 of those albums he lists (and one on order) - Herbie Hancock River: The Joni Letters; Roy Hargroves RH Factor Hard Groove; Diana Reeves Bridges. Ordered Roberta Flack’s Talk Back album (some of her other stuff).

Will eventually end up getting Miles’s Ascenseur Pour L'échafaud album as I’ve been collecting a lot of Miles over the last year and a half and have posted many in this thread.

Anyway, again, that’s “his” greatest 10 jazz albums; not necessarily one I agree with, but I did find it interesting and why I posted it.
