Some pianists are more interesting on electric and synthesizers, for example Joe Zawinul. Chick's acoustic work has so much emotion ...

Which is why love Weather Report - Zawinul. Or Herbie Hancock's albums from Head Hunters to Man-Child. It was Man-Child that made me fall in love with the synthesizers, particularly the Fender Rhodes, ARP Odessey, Oberheim, courtesy of The Traitor. I just love that album.

In fact, I'm listening to Man-Child now. This is my 24bit/96kHz hi-res version. Not as good sounding as my Mo-Fi CD, but good enough

Why I've never heard those artists as I'm not into classical music. While I can listen to anything; I just don't follow or buy classical music.

Madonna Fan here. I remember buying that True Blue on vinyl and playing it to death - especially loved Live To Tell, also White Heat (for the opening lyrics).

BTW, I have that James Cagney movie (White Heat) from which the opening lyrics on White Heat are from. I even remember that scene.


Although the phrase I remember most from that movie is "top of the world". Great B&W film, and especially if you liked old gangster films with James Cagney (yeah, I'm showing my age)
