My two favorite Angela Bofill albums (Her first two albums and only GRP releases). Bought both upon release. Unfortunately, they along with about another hundred albums were stolen when I was living in the dorms back in my early military days. Have them on CD though...

Angie (GRP 1978)...

Favs - Under the Moon and Over the Sky, Share You Love, Children of The World United.

Angel of the Night (GRP 1979)...

Favs - I Try, The Feelings Love, The Voyage.

That said, there isn't a single song on either of those albums I don't like. And I just love her voice. Very powerful. I have other albums by her, but those first two are special.

Angie Bofill - That's a name I sure haven't heard for a long time...

I don't normally post "vinyl" as I currently don't have a turntable (well it's packed away), but...

I was looking through my vinyl collection for an album I needed some info from and ran across this. Surprised me because I didn't realize I had it. It's listed in my music inventory spreadsheet, but out of site out of mind. I do remember buying it used some years back. The cover is a little worn, but the vinyl itself (3) are in pristine condition. This the edition I have. Comes with two 4-panel posters. Unfortunately, though I can't play it, but I am currently listening to it on Spotify

Santana - Lotus.jpg

I might consider getting the CD version at a later date. Depends on how moved I am. So far so good

BTW, I also found I have Fleetwood Mac's Tusk as well on vinyl. Had mentioned earlier in this thread I didn't have it (CD or vinyl).

Uh... this Santana is kicking. Looks like another CD order coming up :L3000:

Yeah, her heyday was late 70's to mid 90's. She did do a live album in 2006 but I don't have it. I bought her first 4 albums, then skipped a few before buying one more in 1992. After that I stopped following her.

Anyway, those first two are by far my favorites as they have more of a jazz tinge. Still R&B, but some nice contemporary jazz vocal tunes as well.

BTW, she's still around (now 69) but I'd read she's had two strokes in the early 2000s and was both voice and mobility impaired. She had such a beautiful voice.

Wonderful melodic ambient techno from the 90s. Interesting to note how an Amiga-500 was used as a sequencer.
