Mr. Hancock's solo work from 1962 to 1969 on the Blue Note label. These
recordings were made while he was also a member of Miles' second great
quintet, so a very busy musician! I decided to listen to this compilation today
as I was impressed by Herbie's playing on the Plugged Nickel sessions from
yesterday. Mostly acoustic ... the electric period was still to come.
