Jesse Malin's 2021 album 'Sad and Beautiful World'

A month ago I had never heard of Jesse Malin.
I then saw him play live, twice, in the space of 5 days.
The first gig, in my home town, was so good, I drove 60 miles to see him again 4 days later!
Both gigs were amongst the most enjoyable I have ever been to.
After the first gig I bought the album 'Sunset Kids' from Jesse and he kindly signed it for me.
It is a brilliant album.
I have just bought his latest album- 'Sad and Beautiful World' which is also superb.
Jesse was clearly influenced by Tom Petty and he even includes a cover of 'Crawling Back to You' on this latest album.

Cannonball Adderley - Big Man - The Legend of John Henry.jpg
Cannonball Adderley's take on the legend of John Henry, released in 1975
sadly as his last project on planet Earth. Combines elements of jazz, funk,
soul and gospel music with a full jazz orchestra backing. Carol Kaye on bass,
George Duke on keys, main vocals by Joe Williams as John Henry. Spectacular.
